There is a clear similarity between the characters because they are girls that are descriminated and devalued. Also in the two stories it is show that women can't do some things that the men can, like playing some games that are "for boys" or working as a seller of newspaper. Another similarity is that the ones that descriminated the girls and the woman were men, the seller and the old man.
Such as similarities we have differences, in one story we have to girls that were playing a game and in the other we have a women that is trying to get a job. Also the feelings of the girls and the woman at the end were different. On one hand, the woman at the end leaves like angry and shouting, but the girls leave confunce and in silence. The conflict also is different because in "Boys will be boys" the girls have to climb a tree to hide from an angry old man, but in "Equal rights" the problem is that the girl have to find a job and in the newspaper the seller tell her that as she was a woman, he will pay her less.
Between the two stories i prefer the one of "Boys will be boys" because i identify myself with that storie. It remembers me when i was a little girl and i play some games that were like that, like throwing things from the car or my window. At that times I thought that the games were for me and also for boys.
