Proposal

helping students with spoken presentations

Introduction
  In this proposal i will assess and describe the problems that students face in spoken presentations. In the final section some recommendations about how to improve this situation will be given.
Current situation
  In several spoken presentations it was notable how the poor selection of information on a subject leads students to continuous hesitation. Students are used to studying by heart lots of information that is not necessary. A second but related problem concerns poor colloquial language.
key needs to be addressed
  Some other factors that affect negatively the presentations are the lack of resources, no internet connection. Moreover visual images are not available. As the information in the presentation is not available, students get lost and can´t continue their performance.
Recommendations
  I would suggest the following to the students for their presentations:
  • All students giving their presentations should be more self-confident
  • All presentations must be downloaded on a pendrive
  • Looking for key terms can be effective so as to have an outstanding performance.
This final recommendation will encourage those who currently deliberate spoken presentations to continue to do so, in a more organized way so as to have a better performance.
